SHOT FOR SHOT: "Collateral" Alleyway Gunfight Breakdown

There are some discrepancies in your counting a transition - assuming you use a shot timer like the rest of us - it gauges from shot to shot so the transition is measured from last shot on target 1 to first shot on target 2.
An average decent draw to first shot is around 1.5 seconds. With average .2 second splits and a .3 second transition (let's assume rather slow times due to the 'cold' factor - the reality is a decent shooter at this distance can carve these numbers considerably)the total is about 2.5 seconds which is about how long Cruise took in the footage (discounting the very last head shot).
And yes, it can be done in that time cold by average shooters.

Your "average" shooters are waaaaaay better than the "average" shooters I see at the range. From what I see, the "average" shooter has never taken a course, shoots 1,000 rounds a year max, is essentially shooting 'blind' - no real goals, no real technique - and honestly believes they'll shoot better when the get whatever gun they have their eye on next. I think the number of used guns I see at gun shops that aren't even smoothed out, supports this.

I think you're confusing "shooter" with "plinker/owner". You description is bang on for a plinker/owner.

Yeah, I agree with the average gun owner comment - I tried to hammer out my description of what I saw as an 'average shooter' in a post above.
