I took my lakefield MK II with the fake leupold, in a boyds SS out yesterday afternoon.
Overall the glass on the fake leupold mark 4 is pretty good for what I paid ($60), I like it much better then that mueller 8-32, it doesn't fish eye nearly as bad.
I was plinking at the 20 yard and 100 yard targets, on the .22 it groups fine, had a few rounds almost touching at 100 yards once I figured out the drop for 100 yards.
After hearing the comments about them not holding up to recoil I wouldn't risk putting one on anything bigger then a rimfire, but for a plinker in .22 or one of the rimfire .17's it is a great scope compared to the cheap tasco's or other rimfire scopes I've had or tried in the past, and the 30mm tube don't hurt it, I was easily able to see where my bullets were hitting at 100 yards with it when the magnification was turned up, and it doesn't get as nasty as some of the other cheap scopes when the magnification is cranked up.
I did notice that the green illumination seemed to stop working though, which is an obvious warning sign of quality, but is a feature mostly for low light shooting, as this is for gophers and targets, best found on sunny days anyways. Also the turrets are exposed, and easy to rotate (easy to knock off of center) so there is a risk of shooting off the mark if shooting them for functions outside of bench shooting or gopher shooting, trekking through the bush for example.
Would I buy again for another rimfire? Yes, but not a high end rimfire, if I was spending over $600 on a .22 you might as well spend the money for more reliable glass though I'm not sure the other glass would do better on a scale of investment to glass quality, your probably looking at $400 plus to find something with equivalent glass and features in a nikon/bushnell/minox etc.
So essentially I guess I would promote the scope only for rim fire rifles that aren't over the top expensive, that doesn't mean I approve of folks getting ripped off on fakes or stealing from other manufacturers, I bought it as a cheap chinese scope for the lakefield, what badge it has on it matters less to me then some of the others on here, I knew what it was when I bought, and wouldn't think of selling it as anything other then a chinese scope should I ever part with it.
