Tuesday BRRC IPSC practice

Hi guys,

Does Burlington still have Tuesday IPSC practices open to non club members? The calendar lists IPSC league for most Tuesdays - does it mean the practice is on?

If the practices are still open to all BB holders do they still start at 6:30? Do they require any kind of registration ahead of time?

I'll appreciate any info, thanks!
 
The practices are open to non-members. I think we require for an existing member to sign you in as a guest (I haven't done a Tuesday night in ages - I get the IPSC out of my system elsewhere), but there will be a bunch of members (just look for white cards hanging off their necks as per club rules) and any of them would be willing to sign you in or point you to someone who will. The calendar looks good for tomorrow. I don't know when exactly the early birds start shooting as I usually show up b/w 7 and 7:30 to avoid the worst of the traffic.

It's 4 stage match.
Well... I guess you could say it's practice, but it's not like you do specific skill building drills and such.

You come.. drop your $ in the jar and shoot the match.

It is usually a 3 stage practice match. Practice match because they are not ipsc sanctioned matches. They are for any active Ipsc black badge holder and it is $5 for non brrc members. Ipsc rules apply. Times are ussually 5,6,7 and 8pm squads.
 
I think Wentworth offers the same style practice matches on thursdays. Think its $5 for non Wentworth members but same goes, you have to be an active IPSC black badge holder.

Close to downtown, all I know of is Jane and Finch. They use alot of reactive targets. Only problem they shoot back. Lol...jokes. In Toronto itself your SOL. Closest I have found was indoors at Burlington to the west. Not sure if there are IPSC practice nights anywhere to the east. Or to the north. Maybe someone may chime in. Actual matches are all over, east, west and north.

Good to know. Does BRRC have a PDF invite to print off for transport regulations?

Thanks! I had considered becoming a member there, but they had an insane nearly 18 month wait list to take their safety course to bring restricteds, and they only had room for their pistol membership and not the rifle. So what was I going to shoot until I took their safety course? Anyways. I might try to make it out to some of these Tuesday night events later this month.
