Semi VS O/U

I too would go with an o/u. I like my semi for waterfowler but sometime it's true that the 2 chokes option could be great!
And if you buy a new gun mostly for clays buy the one that fit and at the top or your budget because like it's been said it's not the gun the biggest expense with clays.
Happy shooting!

Hi Guys. So I'm going to get an O/U on Friday or if not sooner. I want the Beretta 692. I was wondering if I could get some feedback from owners or people who have shot it. I picked the 692 up in the store and wow its nice.
I have shot a DT11 (only 2 shells) but not the 692. A shop in town has one still that is at the old price before our dollar dropped.
I just want to make sure I'm making the right call.

Thanks

I have shot the 692, and you can't go wrong that gun. Get the 692 with the adjustable comb. I know it is a few more bucks, but you will not regret spending the extra money.

I've shot a buddies 692 a number of times and don't find it a whole lot different than his 682 GoldE or 682 Limited.
The 692 is much better to look at than the GoldE however ! I would be pleased to own any of the 3 of them

I've been with the same DT-10 for the past 15 years. No complaints. Over the past year I've also tried a few DT-11's. ( A couple of flats of shells)
Nice guns, but not to my liking. They seem heavier and not as lively between the hand as the DT-10. I think they would be just
the ticket for a dedicated Trap gun or dedicated Skeet gun, but for me, they lack some of the handling & balance qualities
I prefer for Sporting & 5-Stand.

Also have a couple of A-391 Parallel Targets.
The DT-10 and A-391's are my "clays" guns, an 870 for waterfowl and a Union Armera for upland.

The extra $$ for the 692 is, IMHO, well worth it. I'm on my 3rd SUV since I picked up the DT-10 which has more retained value now
than the last 2 trucks put together ... and I expect it will outlast both the one I'm driving now & the next one !
Aside from the DT-11 or SO-5, I think the 692 is Beretta's best current clays offering. If as reliable as the 68x series guns, it should easily last a lifetime.

You are. I've shot a 692 and was very impressed. I liked it better than the DT11 I was also trying at the time.

My son shoots a 692... shoots it well... likes the gun... he is actually on his second one... he bought a 30" gun, but then sold it for a 32" gun... he prefers the handling of the longer barrels. I've shot a couple rounds of skeet with it and find it to be a very comfortable, intuitive gun... handles and swings very smoothly.
