Mint Late War ac45 K43 with zf4 scope, d block.

Classic USGI bringback from the end of WWII. I agree, possibly taken from the factory or a stockpile at the end of the war.

I looked at the scope in person at SoS with CanadianAR, it is MINT, and the rifle looks to be the same condition.

Collectible German WWII rifles and optics like this are uncommon here. The pics are great too, there's no doubts at all.

Thanks guys. My close friends on here know what it took to get this piece.

No, will not be shooting this one at all. There's no evidence it was fired beyond the factory. The internals are perfect. I've got the vopo for shooting, doubtful this will shoot much different.

Absolutely agree, no way I would put any wear on that collectible rifle. Leave it just as it is and preserve it, just like the other similar quality collectibles.

This is a true centerpiece, by far the nicest K43 I've ever seen here in Canada. Absolutely love everything about it and the photos are top notch!

Honestly, I can't wait to see it in person!

A rifle I can't shoot makes an inefficient club. I've never grasped the concept as there are better investments out there.
Right now milsurps are hot. A few years ago, you couldn't give one away. The pendulum will swing yet again.

That said - congrats on acquiring a virgin.

Similar to buying a Ferrari with zero KMs on it. It would be insanity to drive it. Why not just preserve it. It can't get any better, only worse. Not sure how it will pan out investment wise. But I didn't buy it for an investment. I bought it because I wanted it! Haha
 
I know that some of the late war units had very suspect material, especially in the gas system...There was a write up on these in the last Guns and Ammo, Mike V purchased one and shot it with the gas system disabled as a straight pull bolt action. If your going to shoot it, that might be a good option. Save the wear on the springs, which if original will be of very poor quality, ditto the action as the port is probably oversized...

The late rifles were actually better to shoot as they had tweaked the gas system and gave it a release port so it isn't over powered.

Moot point as I've got another k43 that I shoot regularity.
