The Mossberg 715t flattop is pretty decent.

I owned the 715 for afew weeks now and i got to shoot 700 rounds through it with no big issues. Its pretty accurate with a red dot under 100 yards. It does like certin ammo more, I had afew issues with the federal white box stuff. American egal, CCI and remington hornets HP ran 100% tho with no issues.

Opening this thing to clean is a differnt story tho... It is time consuming, make sure you put aside 1 hr for a full clean.

Till i make some more money to get the S&W .22 this should work great for the sale price I paid.

I've had a great time with mine as well.
Thousands of rounds through both my carry-handle ( 702 Tactical ) and flat-top.
There's been good many complaints too however , but mine has not shown any probs yet and I dare say I can do , with those rifles anything the more expensive counterparts can do.

Bingo. Just because its plastic doesnt mean it doesnt shoot well.
Im just not a fan of metal screws in plastic. They will last for only so long.

I understand they prohibited the 25 round mags on these, the 10 round mags don't drop very well, not 'nuff weight.

They are still being sold at stores, so who knows. Just don't turn them in for the lame 10 shot clips.
Buy the Mossberg 702/715 10 shot clips and with a little dremel work you can make them fit in the 25rd. clips.
And you'll still look cool, while keeping within the law, which may or may not be.

I put 100 rds thru' my CMMG .22 conversion unit yesterday. Just pull the .223 bolt and insert the .22 unit - a blow back mechanism with a steel chamber insert. The .22 LR bullet has quite a jump to the rifling, but it shoots surprisingly well. Doesn't dirty up the gun enough to worry about.

The mags hold 25 rds (tough to get the last two in) and work flawlessly. I usually load 20-22. They hold the bolt open on the last shot, which I like. The preferred ammo is CCI.

My wife had me buy one for her AR 15 as well as she thought I was having too much fun.

The .22 AR 15 lookalikes are great trainers. Coupled with a .22 GSG 1911, they could be a lot of fun in a 2-Gun match.
