I'm a new shooter and I've never used any Wolf ammo before or wadcutter...

What's the Hallow Base Wadcutter stuff like? Does it perform well? It looks so weird

Will I not notice a difference in my 686 or will I not like it? Or does it not matter because I'm just shooting at paper?

Should give you nice clean holes in the paper targets. Easy to see from a distance and close up. Performance depends on load. I have had good experience with Wolf in 9mm.

Happy shooting!

Edit: Don't try them in your lever gun :)

I will be ordering a couple of K's of this ammo made by Wolf, i bought 500 lately from SFRC and i am only shooting that from now on, in my S&W 627, SP 101 and Bonds, great ammo, sooo accurate... JP.:dancingbanana:

Of the 1000's and 1000's of rounds of 38 i've loaded by far the most accurate has been loads using 148 gn full wadcutters. I've only used hollow based ones a couple of times as they are not always easy to find any more as components, but when i could they always seemed a bit better then the standard double ended wadcutter. As long as they aren't loaded too hot they shoot like a dream

where do you find HBWC plated? I'd love to get my greedy paws on a few K of those!

budget shooter has plated ones listed, as well as lead HBWC's but he is closed right now.

148gr HBWC's are the most accurate ammo i have, loaded on top of 2.8gr of bullseye is as good as it gets. very low recoil, clean holes and super accurate.
