I'm interested in better sights also. Maybe something with a bit more precision in mind. Tactical sights are fine if your doing IDPA, but all I do is punch paper.
Hi,
I am wanting to upgrade from the original 3 dot sights on my M&P 9 and would like to get feedback from any of you who have done so, fiber optic or red dot or ?. Pros and cons appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary
Sell it and buy the m&p pro with factory red dot, upgraded trigger etc. better bet in the long run
When you say red dot or reflex , do you mean red dot or reflex as in a RD scope or do you mean Red dot/ reflex , as a front bead? The pro is not set up for a RDS , don't you need the CORE for that?

There is an adapter base that replaces the rear sight. This is for trial purposes. If I like it, I'll go to a CORE with a DeltaPoint. Sets the sight lower.
when you say that it works for you in a tactical sense or precision ? I have no problem hitting inside a 6 inch circle at 25 to 35 yards . I just focus on the white dot out front , the 2 rear dots just kinda fades out. I find that these factory sights have to much tolerances ( spaced to far apart when lined up). I would like to get more precise and not so much tactical. I know this is not the best gun for what I'm looking for but it's the only one I got in 9mm. The only sights I can find from google are either tactical or competition .10-8 .156" rear and gold bead front or fiber optic front do the trick for me...

You'd choose the Deltapoint over Trijicon? I have no hands on experience with any but am trying to learn before making an expensive buy mistake.
What dot size would you go with and I don't know about how the Deltapoint triangle reticle would be better/preferable over a standard dot?
