1911 and other mags from Brownells

Hi, not sure if this has been asked before. why while 1911 mags are allowed to be shipped from Brownells, other mags(10-Round ones of course) such as M&P and Glock, are blocked? Thanks.

It all depends on whether or not the manufacturer/company is registered with ITAR. You can order S&W M&P mags from Brownell's with no problems but they will not ship Glock mags. Other times, the manufacturer won't allow it to be shipped out of the US because they have a distributer here. eg. Magpul

Exactly. The only way to know for sure is to try and buy the particular magazines that you want and see if the order Gord through.

I see. thanks guys. btw. M&P is being blocked right now as well, but price is insane anyway compared to buying it local. Wilson 1911 and Glock mags prices are very good. definitely getting some of the 1911.
have you guys have any experience with Magpul PMAG for Glock 17 and G21/41 Gen4? I see IRUNGUNS will have some soon and wondering....

Odd. I've bought lots of these from Brownell's before. Part #940 000 991WB - 10rd M&P magazine. So I just called them and talked to Brenda, she said that "it can ship to Canada". Maybe a glitch in their system. Glock mags - still a no go.

you are right. just tried again and now it's working. however, as mentioned, @US$33.99/each, plus shipping and currency conversion, it would be more expensive than buying local now. Just got 5 from Al Flaherty's yesterday. all good.

I get dealer pricing and don't pay the currency exchange charge of 2.5%. So I still buy from them before buying in Canada. Nobody can beat their customer service and return policy.

Al Flaherty's is very good in toronto. I just hate the 13% ontario tax which is why I tried to buy everything from alberta whenever it's possible.
