Can't tell from the pics much on the condition of the wood but a Sweet Sixteen standard grade with a vent rib barrel and rear safety that appears in VG condition could run anywhere in the $1000.00 - $1300.00 bracket. Guesstimate on what I can see from the pics.

Yes but you would be hard pressed to get even close to that for one that has been refinished .IMO
Cheers

Agreed, but didn't read anything on being refinished. And as mentioned tough to tell condition of both blue and wood with that grease on there.

No there was no mention but look at the engraving depth and the dull color of the bluing. W almost gone but blueing not effected as an example.
I have never seen one supplied like that factory. Mine sure looks nothing like it and ours was bought new probally 50 plus years ago
Cheers

Yes, something does look off as far as the worn engraving to the amount of bluing. One would really want some clear, close up pics and do your homework. If it hasn't been refinished/polished it has a fair amount of carry wear. The Belgium on the barrel also looks faint . However, it's still a desirable gun but not worth top dollar. But as mentioned, it really needs to be cleaned and some more clear photos taken.

You can see the screws were messed with (wrong screw driver used) but they're still fully blued?

Still a nice gun though, maybe I'll own one one day.

Best to look for a local buyer where you are. I collect these things and the most desired are the Belgium made ones from the 1960s. Mint they go for $800 to $900 max. Here in Ontario there are a few shops that has them in various conditions with the price ranging from $300 for poor to $600 for very good.

its a 1967 sweet 16 gold trigger gun 7s serial . in decent shape . open choke with ribed barrel. what is its lowest value. blueing is 95% at the least .

I had accepted an offer of 400 from a member before even realising what I had . so I guess il never know . im a man of my word and when a deal is done ..well the deal is done !! . it will be in the hands of canada post tomorow going to its new happy . verry lucky!!!!!! owner

I've always been told that something is worth what people are willing to pay. If it was a factory 'open' choke then he got a good deal, if not, personally I would have not paid more than $500??

If both of you are happy.....win win.

Agree nice to see a man's word is still alive with some. Not sure what the open choke means unless it is more open than full i.e. mod etc
500-600 max I would say on the EE . Glad everyone is happy
Cheers

It's a $600-700 gun tops it's defiantly a refinnished gun . But it will likely end up on EE over prced like most guns that get value requests on this form .

You sold the gun @400.00 even after a very knowledgeable site member advised the gun could be worth as much as 1000.00 in decent shape. Other shotgun experts on this thread also stated the gun would be worth 500.00 minimum. Does not make much sense to me but it was your gun to sell.
