Does anyone know where to buy a short action savage mag bolt head? A long action head will not work. push feed.

Guess I should have tried savage right off the top. Didn't know they sold parts. Midway and brownells hadn't any.

Savage bolt heads are expensive, I asked my gun shop and Savage charge $80 for one. For about the same cost you can have a PTG bolt head.

He seemed to understand that it had to fit a 270wsm in a short action, we shall see if he gets the right part too me.

I had Paul Reibin switch out the 308 bolt head on my C.I.L. (Savage J action) and put a magnum bolt head on with no issues,twisted up a Mcphee barrel on it in 300WSM- dunno why, but you may have a different generation 110 action.

Mine is one of the first savage wsm bolt heads, when they were sort of a control round feed. I'll go find it and get some pics.

Are you a gunsmith? Because bolt heads are restricted to gunsmiths.
