380 vs 9mm recoil

FWIW I've got a few "Long nose's" restricted barrel 1910's , PP's, as well as a few 1922's(Regular nose!). I find that 380's in these guns are softer shooting than my 9's.
Go smaller and lighter and basic physics dictate a snappier result. Something about the 380 I've always liked. That CZ 38 must be a nice shooter once you master the trigger pull.

Yup! Your assessment is pretty much bang on! Enjoy your 380 when it arrives.
I assume ammo will be hard to come by? I have not seen commercial .380 ammo the last 2 years at my LGS.

I've been buying a box here and a box there . Someone had a line on bulk a couple months ago at one of the site sponsors I think . Sold out rapidly . Next time a bulk offer comes up , I'll be buying a case ( if one ever does come up again ) .

I'd second the .38 special suggestion. I find that a 148gr target load shot from a K frame S&W has very little recoil

Agreed. Alternatively, my wife (a small Asian women) shoots 145gr sub sonic 9mm out of a 92A1 like a boss! Uh oh, gtg, here comes the boss!

Well if anyone that bought a Browning 1911-380 was really planning they would've picked up a crate or two of the Brass cased FMJ 380 Norinco Canada Ammo had in stock for the last two years. It Was really cheap compared to American Eagle and free shipping. Unfortunately it's all gone now.

I picked up 4000 rounds for when my 1911-380 shows up.

I don't own a .380 but I think Dagmaar is running with your idea the next time a bulk supply comes in!

I've managed to scrape together 2500 .380's, which should be enough. I figure on reloading once I've burned through a bunch, but it certainly is a bit of a pain to have anything other than 9mm or .45 at the moment.

Yeah , I didn't know it was available and I bought the gun about a day after the presale was made public . What can ya do . I've got about 1000 rounds so I'll be good for a day or two , lol .

Canada Ammo just listed a bunch of 380 ACP on their web page and they are having a sale this weekend if you wanna jump on some cheap 380.

I just checked there a day ago and didn't see anything ! Thanks so much , I'm going to go now and buy some ....awesome !
