The only downside for having them do a refund is they get charged service fee for using credit cards. Usually 2-4% depending on the credit card.

Even if refunding whole amount of a $100.00 purchase guarantee they will be out $2.00-$4.00 for the original transaction. Not a lot at first but do that 100 times and it Adds up.
