benelli barrel lengths and chokes

Hello folks I,m considering purchasing a benelli super nova tactical with a pistol grip and colabsible stock 14" barrell.My question is what size of barrell comes with the ability to switch chokes 14",18",or 28" I cant seem to find this info .I primarily want this gun for black bear protection initially and I will eventually find other uses for it.I,m new to the world of guns and am just trying to make the correct purchase,thanks in advance for all replies.

I don't think they made the SN Tactical with removable chokes ( M1, M2, M3 yes ). The shortest I have ever seen is my 24" Nova. You could have it threaded, but would need to use something like a Tru-Choke thin wall due to the barrel being a tad on the skinny side.

would it be possible to purchase an extra barrell that could be choked for later multi use.I m thinking I could possibly change out the stock and barrell length for other applications,or if not simply purchase a second gun.

You could try and find a used barrel from either a Nova or Super Nova and have it cut down to 18.5" and threaded for thin wall chokes. Can't go any shorter than that though as it will become (BAD). I think you would have a hard time finding a 14" barrel only, as for what they would want for it, you could pick up a good complete used gun.

The 24" bbls comes with threaded chokes., double check this one, some bbls materials are difficult to thread, unless its plain steel.

Correct, the 24" one's like mine are threaded. Casey at Tac-Ord says that they can be done so long as the OD of the bbl is .845 where the choke will be, but I would double check with him to be sure.
