You can dress a SKS up to look like an FAL but that's about it.

That depends on what part of the FAL is serialized. If its the lower the gun would be prohibited. If its the upper you could legally do it assuming you can find the parts. The next question would be why.

Already been discussed extensively in another thread.

FAL Uppers are the regulated portion that is considered the gun. As FAL lowers are just any other gun part, they are not regulated. Additionally, there is nothing in a FAL lower that will make an SKS go full auto, and using a FAL lower does not make an SKS a prohibited variant.

Thusly, you are good to go. That being said, this isn't an easy project. Takes a bit of craftsmanship to work.
