Best warranty for a $200-300 scope?

Nikon Canada
#8 13511 Crestwood Place
Richmond, BC

:)

(Service center only, if scope needs to be replaced will still come from Ontario)

You damn near sold a scope right there.

Sadly I just looked up the warranty on Nikons and "2. This warranty shall not apply to any product which has been subjected to misuse, alteration, abuse, negligence or accident, general wear and tear or has had its serial number altered or removed."(emphasis added)

I'll gladly pay shipping if it means Im covered when I accidentally drop it. I've got the sorta luck that without a no-questions asked warranty, I'll drop it the first day out. Meanwhile if a have something with the no-questions-asked warranty I'll never actually have to use it.

So it looks like its down to Vortex or Burris...

Who fixes Burris optics in Canada?

Good question. I can't find an answer on their site. Some googling gets me some forums that mention possibly sending it the the US. Im really not sure at this point...

Really makes me lean towards the Vortex... Anyone care to comment on turn-around time for Vortex warranty work?

That's why you need to make sure you are on the Optics side of the business, that disclaimer is for our camera side (albeit the much larger division). The Sport and Recreational Optics (hunting) division features a Lifetime No Fault Warranty covering everything except intentional damage. (Read: bullet holes). This was enacted January 1st, 2015. (Previously we just featured a standard Lifetime warranty and before that 25 years). Electronics carry a 2 year warranty. All items will be repaired or replaced by any of our three service centers in Canada. Any other questions feel free to PM me!

I sent a burris to them a month ago... *crickets*.....

I hope to hear from them soon.

When I sent one in for warranty (a 20+year old scope) I didn't hear anything back from them and then one day a brand new scope arrived in the mail :)

Well, if that's the case, someone should update the website. Bold face type is mine.

Bushnell has a lifetime warranty now and if you buy an elite you get a years use of it and if you don't like it you a full money back guarantee.

I find Nikon has the best optics for the money. Next time your out compare a bunch of them to the nikons or the elites.

Bushnell has a really nice elite tactical for around 300 with the warranty I mentioned. It's a fixed ten though but damn does it look nice.

I'm going to get one and see if I like it.

Unfortunately the Bushnell Bulletproof Money Back Guarantee is only valid in the U.S.
