Problem with my CX4 trigger, and a part fell out

Hope you guys can help.

I just got my CX4 back from a gunsmith for the conversion to NR barrel.
Looks sweet.

Problem is, when I pull the trigger, it doesn't release the hammer if there is any rightward pressure on the trigger (from shooter's perspective).

I was playing around with lower (just dry firing with the trigger pressed this way and that) when all of a sudden, this metal piece fell out of the hammer area.

The CX4 still operates (just manual operation, no live ammo) like normal. In fact, the intermittent trigger failure appears to be gone.

Any ideas?

EDIT: the metal piece comes out of the "ramp" just in front of the magazine.

Pulling the trigger all the way back still won't release the hammer when the rifle is assembled, however.

Well, if all goes according to plan I'll be picking up my new 9mm CX4 later today. :d

Don't know of any news on the international scale however.

Alright- just got back and unpacked it. Missing one of the side rails but on the plus side I'm pretty sure it uses the 92/96 magazines.

Now for a stupid question... I've already cleaned and lubricated with some G96, but I realized I had some PTFE 'super lube' laying around and was wondering if that would be preferable to use on the polymer parts? I know G96 is supposedly okay for plastic, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice protective carry case for the CX4? I like the looks of the factory Beretta nylon CX4 case, but it will obviously not work with the longer (NR) barrel...

Looking for something not too large/long...

Cheers;
Eric

I got this one from High Caliber for both my Mini 30 and CX4 Storm NR. It will carry both at the same time.

Just got back from some quick function/ammo testing. 90 rounds total, half of which were 115gr Blazer Brass and the other 115gr Barnaul. Tried a few magazines of each, and then mixed a mag with both manufacturers... CX4 had no problem cycling despite the different lengths of the two bullets. Think I'll stick to Blazer Brass though, seems to be less dirty and more accurate.

As for lubrication, I decided to use some 'Super Lube' PTFE grease alongside the bolt rail and where the gun splits in half. It held up great and the action is as smooth as can be IMO. So I think I'll continue using a combination of that stuff and G96 for lubrication and cleaning.

What is the cure for light strikes?

I figured firing pin was gummed up so I took that apart and cleaned IT but still getting them. Anmo works fine in a pistol but sometimes won't ignite in the carbine.

Field strip the gun and check the back of the trigger group housing. Their should be a small black plate h ttps://www.brownells.com/userdocs/schematics/ber-CX4.gif (part 54) If it's missing you can have misfire problems.
