9mm with lead Bullets and Titegroup-Updated

Are you sure that the DRGs are 135 grain? I buy from FM Shooting sports and pick up my components. I've never seen cast lead 135 grain. If they exist I'd like to try them.

My eyesight is not all that good. How do you read this label?

My TiteGroup test now includes some CamPro plated 147 bullets. I use these for night shoots by flashlight because the smoke from the DRG lead bullet lubricant makes it impossible to see the target.

And I included some 115gr MFS FMJ factory ammo, just because I had some. As before, the 5" barrel got a bit more velocity.

M&P 9 (4.3”)

MFS 115g FMJ 1168fps & 134 PF

MFS 115g FMJ 1246fps & 143 PF

Data using a CED M2 Chrono. 5 Rounds/set. FPS variation <15FPS
Campro 124gn FMJRN
3.5gn Titegroup
Dominion Small Pistol Primers
CZ Shadow SP-01 120mm barrel

OAL 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, 1.13
FPS ...983, 974, 967, 954
PF ....122, 121, 120, 118

3.7gn. All other parameters the same.

OAL .1.12", 1.13"
FPS ...983, ..974

Looks like 3.8gn and/or reducing OAL on the last load for IPSC Minor PF use.

That's too close to 'shooting for no score' for my comfort. A slight variation in bullet weight will easily put you below Minor PF. 3.9 - 4.0gr will keep you at 130+ PF. I load for my SP01 Shadow at 4.0-4.1 Titegroup OAL 1.100" for a 133PF. I use a 13lb recoil spring.

I have a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow. I've been using DRG 130 (which is actually a 38 bullet) with 3.4 of 231 or 3.5 of Titegroup. Both shoot accurately, but the Titegroup causes more smoke and flames. I'm switching back to 231 once I get my next powder shipment
