I have the following shotgun:

I am trying to remove the waterfowl plug...the only place I can think that the magazine tube would thread out would be the base. There is no threading anywhere else. I am just hoping to confirm that the proper way to remove the plug from the tube would be by unscrewing it and there is not some other random way. I am only asking because I am about ready to take a large wrench in frustration. In the owners manual it shows that the magazine tube should be threaded at the top. Mine is not.

So I am assuming this area + heat + good wrench/straps and twist?

Thanks,

The extended mag tube on these are deceiving as they are actually one piece and don't unscrew traditionally.

Look at the end of the mag tube. You'll see a small metal disc inside with a lip.
Wear eye protection!
Take a flathead and pry the disc out sideways and it will release. Be careful because it is under pressure of the tubes spring.

Thank you so much! Worked perfectly...I thought it might have something to do with that never thought it would be that simple.

Thanks again.
