Not seeing the deal...$600 rifle, $500 MDT LSS stick, and a $150 in magpul furniture.

And the scope, the Viper HS-T typically retails for about $700 USD.

don't forget the $50 caldwell bipod!
oh, and what looks like threaded barrel ($100-$200 labour)
and a brake ($30 to $200 depending on cheapy online or something trusted and local)

I can't help but think a Mossberg rifle has no business being in the precision rifle forum....

At $2000 sounds like you are getting ripped off big time. You can get a way nicer rifle than a mossberg for that kind of coin. Hell you can get a Sako or a Weatherby Mark V for that price!

This is clearly for the guy who must look as cool as possible, while putting holes in paper at 100 yards.

These days you can stick just about anything in a chassis and some one will buy it. Other than a chassis looking kind of cool I really don't understand the big craze for them

People like to tinker. Let's them get new stock or grips ect to trick out their gun.

It's like aftermarket tail lights on a car. Some people just need to be different, even if it looks silly.

This.

As well it saves them from having to bed as it is mounting to solid aluminum the lug is pretty secure (you can of course still bed a chassis) but it also makes it easier to ensure it's free floated too.

Nothing been said about this platform since April?

Noticed this is now available through cabela's Canada for under 2k?

Has anyone had any time with this configuration, thoughts, build quality review? Anyone used the MDT chassis with any other caliber? Is this the the future? Multiple configurations with one chassis?

cheers,
Jason
