My pistol collection, is sorely lacking a 9MM handgun, and would like to add a good quality one for general target shooting at the range, no competition. I'm seriously considering a preorder of a Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical 9mm from Wanstalls, or trying to get in on the Wolverine preorder for a CZ-75 TS Orange. Any opinions or experience with either of these two options, or any other higher end recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I am only interested in having one 9MM at this time, so buying both isn't an option.

Given the things listed here, assuming you will spend the same. in addition to what you said below, I would just add P226 variant with SRT, H&K P30L(s) and Walther PPQ.
other than that, any customized 1911 in 9mm from Wilson etc. will meet your needs as long as you have the money to spend.

Personally, I think the Wilson Combat Beretta is a waste of money... buy the $750 92FS and tune it up yourself. Can buy a lot of parts for the extra $1000.
If willing to spend the money, get something like a Sig X-5. Wish I could afford one...

You have two very nice platforms listed. From your choices, it appears you are not a M&P, Glock, or Girsan kind of guy.
The Beretta will be a semi collector's piece due to the Wilson Combat customization. Probably will not be much of a shooter if you intend to keep it for collector value. The CZ Orange is also a rarer gun in the CZ line.
I would highly recommend you put both in your hands and decide based on that. My personal inclination would be the Beretta due to the WOW! factor.
If you have the means, why not look at the SIG 210?? Probably the best 9mm accuracy wise and beautifully built. Another cool choice, although only in used form, is the HK P7 series. The SIG X5 series is also worthy of a look.

2 excellent options for sure. Another would be the Sig X5 Allround or express (Calgary Shooting Center has both), or a CZ 75 sp01 Canadian or Orange. CZ TS, Beretta, and Sigs will have thicker grips. Better if you could handle a few first but they are all nice

The Beretta has a rather big and blocky sort of grip. Many folks with small to medium size hands don't like it for that reason. So be sure you try some sort of 92 or clone of a 92 in your own hands first before making a leap in that direction.
An STI Ranger II 1911 Commander size pistol in 9mm is also a suggestion from me. Very accurate, scratches the 1911 itch that comes with being a hand gun owner for many of us and the commander length guns just seem to go with 9mm like peanut butter goes with strawberry jam.
Outside of that I'm a big CZ fan so I support your idea of going with something along the Orange or any other CZ.

The CZ TS is a competition gun and built for it. I've used it for general shooting and bullseye, but it really shines in fast shooting comps.
I have no knowledge on the Wilson you're thinking of.
For pure target work I'd go for something aka 1911 with tight bushing and match barrel. Les Baer, Ed Brown come to mind.

I love my Glock 22 and my drop in 9mm Stormlake barrel. Not a high highfalutin set up like some of you City Slickers with the deep pockets have, but fun none the less.
My only experience with a higher-end 9mm is an H&K USP Expert. Fabulous trigger, light recoil and wonderful accuracy. I'll also put a vote in for a one of the H&K P7s. I agree with st1264...I don't see the value with the Wilson Beretta...maybe I'm missing something.
Beautiful pistol, I believe they are competition tuned right out of the box and are SA only (correct me if I'm wrong). Longer 'match' barrel and slide, adjustable sights. There are many X-Five models so it gets confusing depending on which one you are looking at.
The Wilson 92 is a good looking gun, but the value isn't really there. I put a couple Wilson parts on my 92fs and its exactly what I want at a fraction of the price. Same kinda goes for the cz 75 TS. Great gun, but at a premium. Don't get me wrong, if I had the money to burn I'd be all over it! But I'd we well served by an sp-01 or a 75 b.
I wonder what the situation is with the new sig x-series. Are they made in the US now? I know they were made in Germany and they use to be listed on the Sig European sites but have been removed since the infraction. Only the original X series/mastershop series is on the German site now. The new x-series never used to be listed on the US site but now it is. Websites can be out dated and don't necessarily reflect manufacturing reality, but I read somewhere that manufacturing capacity was moved / is moving to the US.
I have a tac sport in 40 S&W and it has the sweetest trigger. Very accurate. The gun is big and is a nice range gun and competition model.
I have a Walther PPQ and like it very much. It also has an amazing trigger. It is lighter and I dont' shoot it as accurately as a tac sport, but its me. Depends on the day. But from an emotional standpoint, it is #####ing and bad ass all the way. Love this gun.
I also have a 9mm Grand Power. The Xcalibur model is pricy but I was was actually surprised how well it shoots. As good as the Walther, with a comparable trigger. Extra mags are a problem right now, but this little number should not be overlooked. The rotating barrel (like Beretta storm) is actually a plus and diverts some recoil energy away from muzzle flip.
Try a K100 model for a lower price and less ###y looks.
