Looking at the bottom of the Carcano where the cip (yes, "clip") fits-in, is it possible to pull-apart the bottom of the "mag-well" to remove the part that looks "fitted-in"? cou:

I'm guessing the follower-spring and the portion in what I have to call the "bottom of the mag-well" are a single piece....:yingyang:

Yes, yes, I know it's not a "magazine" well.....sigh.....:p

Found instructions!

1) On follower housing, remove the forward retaining screw

2) Using a flat screw driver, push follower through hole behind the front trigger guard screw hole. Follower assembly slides forward a bit then drops out.

3) Remove retaining screw of clip latch.

4) May need to use a punch to push the screw out because it is under spring tension.

5) Compress the flat spring and pop out the retaining pin.

6) Once the tension is released, drift out the retaining pin.

7) The flat spring can be removed from the housing by tilting it upwards.

8) Once the angle is enough, you will be able to push/lift the flat spring out of the housing.

I would have to look at my carcano but the follower, I believe, is held in place by the front magazine screw and just under tension by the leaf spring inside the magazine.

Why are you looking to take yours apart ? If you do, you may be the first to do so since it was made so best of luck.

I want to see if I can fit a JW-105 magazine into the bottom :yingyang: , but that forward retaining screw is an utter @)*#! to even budge! :(
