So was on Cabelas website and they have super grade sks for sale for 250, unissued with matching serial numbers. is this legit i thought unissued were rare and cost alot more?

I've seen refurbs going anywhere from $199 to $245. Could be wrong but I think the arsenal and year of production have a big impact on SKS price.

I've seen non-refurbs, all matching numbers for $245. But, non-refurb doesn't mean non-issued.

A seller in the EE very experienced with milsurp has an unissued Chinese SKS brand new in box for $345.

As far as I know its online only. I called to ask about them and got put on hold for 10 minutes then got disconnected....................every time I even try to deal with Cabelas I say "NEVER AGAIN". The last Cabelas "supergrades" were among the worst SKS's Ive ever seen. Its almost as if they were trying to be funny. At the same time I'm sure somebody will end up with a gem......but it wont be me.

• Unissued with all matching serial numbers
• Top-quality Russian-manufactured SKS rifles
• Durable wood stock
• Original factory blueing

These super grade SKS rifles are of excellent quality and unlike others they are unissued with all matching serial numbered parts. Don’t be misled by other SKS rifles on the market, these rifles are individually hand-picked and represent the best, top-quality SKS rifles manufactured in Russia. These premium rifles feature original factory blueing, durable wood stock, 5-shot top-feed magazine with hinged floor plate and a 20” barrel with folding bayonet. Year of production ranges between 1945 - 1952. Includes cleaning kit, oil bottle and sling.
Caliber: 7.62x39mm.

If one of you lucky fellows gets a 1945 prototype, let me know...

As was said, unissued, doesn't mean unrefurbed, they were refurbed and stored for years but not reissued after refurb, unless they are fantastic, that is on the high end of what I would pay! Our sponsors have lots of great SKS for that price or less!

It says online only so Im not sure you could visit the store first.

Yes, Online ONLY and $50 off until midnight today.

For what its worth to naysayers here, the Barrie Cabela's has had some of the nicest SKS's I had ever seen! And their new batch of laminated ones at $229 are very nice! All matching except for magazine, which is pinned very cleanly from inside on the follower. NO Frankenstein drilling from outside the mag on ANY Cabelas stock.

The batch of what they are calling "Super Grade" is ALL matching #'s including the mag. These are NOT in stores!, but you can have your online buy sent for FREE pickup to your local Cabela's (if you have one)

But whats most important, ALL of Cabela's recent inventory is 1952 and under. NO 1953 or later stuff there. Their previous online inventory had basically disappeared for a few weeks. The new listings just popped up in the last week or so, and its like they go out of their way to say the inventory goes to 1952 only. Im guessing this has something to do with the RCMP scrutiny on the SKS and that Cabelas does not want anything to do with anything from 1953 on.
