cabelas selling supergrade sks?

Yes, Online ONLY and $50 off until midnight today.

For what its worth to naysayers here, the Barrie Cabela's has had some of the nicest SKS's I had ever seen! And their new batch of laminated ones at $229 are very nice! All matching except for magazine, which is pinned very cleanly from inside on the follower. NO Frankenstein drilling from outside the mag on ANY Cabelas stock.

The batch of what they are calling "Super Grade" is ALL matching #'s including the mag. These are NOT in stores!, but you can have your online buy sent for FREE pickup to your local Cabela's (if you have one)

But whats most important, ALL of Cabela's recent inventory is 1952 and under. NO 1953 or later stuff there. Their previous online inventory had basically disappeared for a few weeks. The new listings just popped up in the last week or so, and its like they go out of their way to say the inventory goes to 1952 only. Im guessing this has something to do with the RCMP scrutiny on the SKS and that Cabelas does not want anything to do with anything from 1953 on.

Magazine being internally pinned on the follower is bad. I'd never buy an sks pinned this way - seen way too many people around here complain about feeding issues because they bind on stuff inside the mag.

I'd take the welded plug in the bottom any day. (Not Franken pinned. Those are the ones that they had to relocate the serial on. I've got one pinned from the bottom with the serial still intact. That's the best way.)

Huh? What exactly is frankenpinned about the Westrifle SKSs?

Some people think any pin job through the bottom of the mag is frankenpinned... When it only refers to the ones that required the serial number to be moved. The other style of pinning though the bottom is the best way to do it and ensure reliable function.
