To counter your overwhelming optimism....

Dear Mr *,

thank you for your interest in our guns. We have semi auto version of CZ Scorpion EVO3 but unfortunatelly due to Canadian law we are not able to sell it on your market. We are working on some changes on this gun.

Thank you for understanding.

and....

Thank you for the response! Could you please tell me what part about them makes them unable to be sold here? My guess is, the EVO3's that are semi-automatic used to be fully automatic, but converted to semi-automatic only later on? I know if they are built from the beginning as semi-automatic only (Not a converted from fully automatic) they are legal to use.

Looking forward to one day owning one! Thanks again,

Dear Mr. Shay,

yes this is the reason. We are now working on it, to change this convertibility.

Thanks for playing.

The differences in the SA and FA is just switching out the modular trigger pack, which fits right within the definition of "easily converted to full auto". CZ will have to re-tool the whole assembly line for an receiver that can not accept the modular trigger pack, than design an completely different semi only trigger system to work with the new receiver, they can't simply modified the existing receiver, because that will fall down the definition of "converted auto" just like the Swiss Arm and CZ 858.

Isn't it just grand we have these laws to protect us?

Seriously how can people not get it.

The Swiss Arms is not prohibited because it is easily converted to full auto. It was prohibited by the lab as a variant of a named prohib, the Sig 550.

Some of the CZ858 are deemed converted, some are not and are still classed restricted.

AND... see the letter from CZ themselves stating they are working on the problem

This is an on going project between Wolverine Supplies and CZ I have high hopes that the last semi auto version of the EVO 3 will meet current RCMP requirements. The huge problem is that the RCMP may take three years to approve her. Currently we are waiting for licences in to import the required samples. Also looking at the BREN but that project may simply be cost prohibitive for our small market in Canada.

CZ USA : http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1-pistol/
USA consider EVO3 S1 like a pistol '' Imported as a pistol, it is a blowback-operated semi-auto in 9mm with a short 7¾” barrel. '' Will we have the same RCMP delays (3 years and +) to get a FRT ?
