7.62x39 into 308

But I did stop there I went to two of the gun shops in town and asked for the best reloader on hand and asked again the same question before even checking up on this thread and doth shops say that if they are all the same diameter and you start at they low power count and work your way up slowly than all should be well till you find your best group. so to say that I should not be reloading might be a understatement. Savage uses a .308 bore on their 7.62x39 rifles and it seems to work but I have read there are accuracy issues when shooting .311 surplus ammunition

I'm seeing a lot of this, I'm honestly stunned you guys seem to be retaining as many new members as you do, as there are a lot of less hostile forums out there. But then again there are lots of members here who have been here for years with under 200 posts so I'm not sure if that counts as retaining members.

not really since rifles like the zastava M85 (newer production is updated for mill surp) and CZ 527 perform better than the savage with the same ammunition in my experience.

Ganderite has done quite a bit of testing and so have I to some extant.
You are limited to three rifles in your experience. Here's some good reading material and you could search some of my threads about it if they still exist.
