Its no secret that Handgun powder is hard to find. I just got some N320. I was wondering if anyone had reloaded with it and if you had any "pet" recipes. I will be wanting to ensure that I will be having a PF of at least 125. As far as bullets, the LGS carries Cam Pro, so I will likely be looking at either 124gr JHP (or FMJ), or 147gr RNFP. I have done a lot of research online, but I was hoping to hear from someone who had first hand experience.

What is your Load Data for N320 for 9mm?

i was told by a few people that 3.4 grains for a 147gr projectile would yield you i think just under 130 power factor ( a safe target due to variation in bullet weight), oal should be between 1.12-1.15
oh and here is what google found

Serbinator: Thanks for the info. I've been on google & various forums for the last several hours. One of the first links I found was one very similar to the one you gave me:
http://www.lapua.com/en/products/reloading/vihtavuori-reloading-data/relodata/6/34

(I think that Vihtavuori is a subsidiary of Lapua.)

i have 4.4lbs of n320, im using up all of my titegroup before i switch to that, almost all of the IPSC people i know use vita n320 for their production guns..

From a few posts down, you can figure out the power factor from the notes. I have not spent much time with this load as my accuracy was so so. ( better with Unique and CFE pistol ) I will need to revisit it again at some point as I have 2 lbs to burn up. I did feel very soft recoil wise, and much cleaner than CFE pistol!

124 gr zero jhp-c CZ Shadow 1.080" N320 CCI primer

3.4 926 fps
3.5 944
3.6 962
3.8 1003
3.9 1019
4.0 1032
4.1 1055

all 5 shot averages.

Hammer,

Thanks. It looks like any of those loads 3.9 & higher would meet my needs. I will be using it in both a Sig P226 and an FNS 9 Long Slide. (The P226 for my amusement, and the FNS for the club's IDPA nights.)
