Hello Brian46
Ottoman here. Just wondering if I needed to contact you about my 2 or 3 cases.
Talk later
Dook is updating the list

With the amount of cases/people on the list it is next to impossible to organize in advance a group buy without pricing also being quoted well in advance of the sale.
Has anyone in this thread got pricing on shipping from Marstar? or unit cost on larger orders?

Has anyone been able to get pricing from marstar for both cases and shipping via email?

This is exactly why I was going about the list the way I was. Getting a solid committed number first, then getting a quote. Prepaid numbers, then an order.
We should get close to 40 or so cases on this list by the time we get a quote. How does this affect your side of the order Brian? Still enough left for you, and your friends?
I suppose it doesn't matter, over 50 cases and up will be the same price, shipping will be the variable.

Not trying to be a ####, but it is better you deal with the group buy for the site if what you have posted is agreeable to everyone on that list. We do not know the price on cases yet for an order of 50 so how much will you collect in advance from everyone?

I can not collect money from people in good conscience without knowing the actual price up font and I have been so far unable to get a quote on the 50 or 100 case discount level and shipping. I know for a lot of people depending on the increased discount and shipping cost, their order will change and then there are those that are not willing to buy any unless the price is cheaper, So taking money in advance in the correct amount, issuing refunds or collecting more money after the fact is difficult, messy and time consuming. Nobody here is doing this to make any money after all

I just got a PM from grox6 for another 10 cases but it depends on the price.

I am pretty sure you are close to 50 cases with just people on this site now so if you somehow pry pricing from Marstar on the 50 and 100 case discount level and shipping let me know and I will join in.

I don't think you are being a ####. Just look at the order of requirements.
1) committed number
2) get quote for same
3) prepaid order (there will always be last minute cancellations)
4) spread the love

You are getting a quote for 50 cases, and apparently have the capital to float the excess. Which is fine. There are several ways to solve the cart before the horse issue. Each way is better suited for individual situations.
My way is better for someone who doesn't have the capital to risk.
Your way suits you. In the mean time, I am making a list of interested parties.
Hopefully you can use this list for your order.
If this doesn't suit you, I will proceed with my plan, and there is no hard feelings Brian.
I am just trying to get something coordinated for this side of the coast.

I have already been at the get a quote stage when this was announced and have been unsuccessful so far.

If the cases arrive before we get a quote there is no time to collect money from 30-40 people to make payment is what I am getting at, we have no idea how fast it will sell out at that point.

With the size this order is getting, it is much larger than I can carry alone and there will be unhappy people if they do not get their "group buy order"

I understand Brian. So we will have a cut off date, a final committed number, a quote, and at that point a cut off date for payment. If the price changes after that through a difference in prepaid cases vs. Quoted number, then it would be pretty easy to average out a refund minus emt charges.
I think most people here are reasonable enough to be understanding of any unforeseen eventualities.
Perhaps we could talk John into reserving the quote for a time so we can collect the funds?

I am setting up a group buy in Calgary and I have emailed Marstar twice about shipping. No answer to me so far but another CGNer posted that the answer He got was : "Cannot give you Shipping quote as of yet because we don't know the exact size and weight of the crates. Will answer when the ammo is in stock".

The problem is, you are working on the assumption that we will get a price quote prior to the cases arriving and being available for purchase by everyone.

I hope this happens but find it unlikely since we can not even get a price on the next discount level per case

We have the 10 pack pricing to work from as a minimum baseline less shipping. If we don't (which I doubt) have a quote for a 50 pack prior to arrival we can always go with the 10 pack pricing.

Of the hundreds of request we received this happened ONCE, so lets make an effort to get over it....
DO NOT send PMs requested quotes, simply send them to billing@marstar.ca

We time date ALL quotes.... Shipping rates are very volatile.... However if there is a change from the time you are quoted until the moment you place the order we will advise you BEFORE shipping....

Why would ones request for a quote not have been answered ??

John

how much are they? by case $ and by Skid $?

OUR prices are listed further on (again) on this forum
Should there be any interest in a full container load of approximately 1000 case we would be pleased to quote....Dealer license required

So if i read right... A full skid of 50 cases should bill this way... 469.00 X 50 + Taxes + shipping ( only variable in this equation )... JP.

so which is it, 720 rounds with 40 rounds missing from the crate or the full 760 rounds?
