Ruger Mini-14 Tactical in 300 Blackout

Yup. Sold. I want. Who can bring these in?

pretty sure Wolverine will as they agreed to for a regular tactical mini 14. I however decided to cancel the order as its restricted due to barrel length. I would think this one is the same. But if ur into restricted mini 14s have ater.

Why not just get a mini 30. 7.62x39 is pretty much the same ballistics. Cheap ammo. NR. Or for that matter-a $179 SKS. Alright, the SKS is a stretch. But seriously-very comparable ballistics to a x39.

A non-restricted target model would be nice too. By the time we get this in non-restricted, the SU-16 might have a 300 blackout option out.
It might have some kind of dual-purpose hunting role, you could use the subs for smaller beasties.
Since the non-res is unattractive, I don't have to make a decision yet :).

Sometimes it's about resources, I can make 300 blackout brass from 223 brass that is on the floor at most ranges. Most of the x39 is steel.

300 BO can use pistol powder for a bunch of loads, x39 not as many.

300 BO can use standard 223 mags, x39 not so much.

I love the Mini and I love the .300BLK round, specially in subsonic form. Listening to him, it sounds like the gun will only cycle reliably with subsonics when a suppressor is attached, although you might get lucky with some loads. Maybe if they make a Canadian version, the extra 2+ inches of barrel might make the difference in functioning and get it off the restricted list.

I doubt I'll want to cough up $1000 for a restricted staight-pull (using subsonics) range toy. I'd rather build another upper for my AR.

Bingo...this and more is why I would LUV a mini in 300BLK. CANT BE RESTRICTED THO....total deal breaker as I'm sure it is for most.
I haven't read too much on these...how are they twisted?
An adj gas block would be a pretty damn cool feature on a 300BLK.....although the twist rate issue is still a problem...hard to adjust that!! LOL

As with a lot of firearms...this rifle...and frankly most any 300BLK application will leave CDNs looking thru the glass like a kid outside the candy store.
Without a suppressor the rd loses a lot of it's appeal and heavyweight 300BLK ballisitics can be had with Russian or 3030 ammo as another poster observed.

I will prolly still carry out a 300BLK bolt gun build tho.....a shorty twisted for lightweights.....cuz' it will fun and encompass a lot of my favourite plinkin rifle favs....short/quiet/low recoil/compact/inexpensive to feed/easy to reload for......and well...DAMN KEWL.
It will wear a fake can.... to appease my jealousy and piss off liberals!

Their time could have been better spent making the mini14 compatible with STANAG magazines.

Simply my opinion... I've got two of 'em. :)
