aquired AR15 Sporter

Very sorry to hear of your loss. You need to upgrade your PAL to an RPAL, and join a gun club. The BC CFO won't register the gun to you unless you're a gun club member, with a long term ATT.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

If you had it at your place I hope you have a RPAL and the registration certificate. If not you've posted a confession...

Are you the executor of his will? If so, you are allowed to keep it until that will is executed. Assuming it's coming to you the estate will have to transfer it to your name.

As the executor, you have the right to a reasonable period of time to deal with it and, IIRC, to secure it for safety. I'm certain this will include the right to transport it, within reasonable limits, for these purposes. Your CFO should be able to assist you in arranging this.

And, I'm so sorry about the loss of your brother.

Sorry to read about your loss Cory.

I would consult with a lawyer regarding the transfer while you put in the application for an RPAL, your allowed time for it to be processed.

The fact that it's in your brother's house, in his safe, to me meet the letter of the law regarding it's safe storage so I wouldn't worry about that. What you can do is visit his house frequently to show that you have been there and are looking at the safekeeping of his property.
