I just got my first AR-15 today, got a run down on how to use it. Are there any big do's and don't?

When I go to sight it in do I use the windage knobs on the carry handle? If so when shooting it should I ever use these?

Any other tips or tricks?

Thanks!

Don't forget to reinsert your firing pin retaining pin after disassembling your BCG.

Also... It's an NEA?

Welcome to the club. One thing I'll advise is don't keep loaded mags around the rifle when your at home specially if your doing any sort of drills etc. No matter how careful you may be accidents With firearms are never accidents.

But other than forgetting to install the firing pin retaining pin, thats probably the biggest thing to watch for. everything properly lubed keeps everyone happy right ; ) learn to adjust the front sight base before you head to the range incase you need to make fine tune adjustments in elevation.

I got bit by the bug too... But I bough a troy northern guard for my first. Just got my LTATT to bring it home today. love it. Cant wait to get a couple thousand round down the Barrel! I'm still learning as well.. its all fun from here haha
