The Beretta CX4 Thread

i was having light strikes in my carbine with ammunition that had nickle primers.
worked fine with everything else.
i cleaned & inspected the firing pin & channel as well as the trigger group.
couldn't find a problem.
read this solution in a beretta cx4 forum..
i filled 2 of the recesses in the hammer with jb weld for a little extra weight.
haven't had a problem since, great little carbine

I have heard that .22lr is very similar to 9x19 in a carbine when it comes to bullet trajectory, so apparently decent .22lr scopes that have drop compensating reticle and/or turrets are good for these.

I just have a Lucid red dot on mine as I keep it to 50m and under.

I've had the exact same experience with my NR CX-4. Mine had trouble setting off cheap steel cased Barnaul ammo, I filled in the skeletonized part of the hammer with JB weld and it runs like a champ now.

Do any stores up here have the stock spacers or rail segments in-stock? Beretta USA, Amazon, et al apparently refuse to ship those parts to Canada.

Almost 2000 rounds through mine with no ftf/fte (except the one time I installed the ejector on the wrong side of the bolt).

no failures at all, except when I tried .40mags in it. they work great in the pistol, just not in the carbine.

And, yes, we all find the trigger ####ty. Its predictable, but heavy and long. its why we are all calling for a Sierra Papa importer to step up. its odd, businesses will bring in oddball stuff that's only going to be sold to at best 100 or so people, but no one is getting this stuff brought in and it will sell, at one level or another, to thousands. every person who owns one of these will buy 1-3+ products from that source.

I just picked up a NR 9mm version at my local Cabelas. topped it with the Vortex StrikeFire 2 and love it so far. Cant wait to shoot it. I will be buying the magnifier as soon as i find somewhere around Edmonton that carries them or somewhere that will ship me one. also loving that MagPul front grip so gonna have to find one of them soon too. can't wait to see what it'll do. anyone shoot gophers or coyotes with theirs? I'm thinking a gopher at 100 yards shouldn't be too hard with the help go the magnifier

I just bought a mint (restricted) cx4 from another nutter here. It's in 9mm. It came with the top rail and the 2 sides. How do I get the bottom rail without buying the tri-rail?

Also, which mag really works? PX4? 92FS? How about 96?

Answers are much appreciated. Thanks

I use 92 and beretta brand 96 mags. Both work perfect.

all beretta 92/f/fs mags work fine, both in Beretta and Mec Gar. I cannot get my 96 mags to work reliably however. They work great in the pistol, but not in the carbine.
