Email your MP. Be as specific as you'd like. Feel free to mention all parties involved. We certainly have nothing to hide. We will talk to any politician who wants to talk. We look forward to the issuance of the non-restricted FRT# we have all been waiting for over a year for. We also look forward to actual change in this process going forward.
 
I will call my MP tomorrow. He is a friend from my hometown and last time I had an issue with the CFO, I got him involved and lo and behold, it was fixed to my satisfaction within hours.

Might as well turn this thread into an organized effort to push for change. Not being sarcastic. Dead serious. Write the Public Safety Minister. The PM. Those writing legislation such as C42, c655 and c637.

Let's push.
 
The RCMP must be playing the waiting game till they see a Liberal (and totally compliant) government installed. I keep looking for updates on the RPD project here and think this is far beyond ridiculous at the delay and games the RCMP are doing to stall this.
 
DT, I have a meeting lined up with him on Friday when he flies home from the hill. I want to bring a dossier so to speak of the facts he can study and get brought up to speed. I was planning on printing off the NR definition as well as building a timeline for him and have the manufacturer specs for the RPD to compare against an already existing belt fed FRT entry such as the TNW MG34 or 1919. Can you provide any of that? Can you PM me if you can so I can give you my email address?

I've been active with my local MP, pushing for resolve regarding the CZ 858 and Swiss Arms. The amnesty is not sitting well with me, I want to use my CZ in the bush and want immediate ruling.

I'll push my MP regarding the RPD classification, but getting my information ducks in a row is daunting... If we can put together a dossier, like Recce21 mentioned it would be easier to communicate accurate information to our MP's.

If the RCMP is truly waiting for the election, that would be conspiracy and corruption. The theory is floated around quite a bit, but is there really teeth to this theory?
 
Well I havent heard from DT yet but I hope I do in time for my Friday morning meeting. I will be presenting as much info as I can and based on last time the CFC was dicking me around, he does know which strings to pull and whose feet to hold over the fire to get things done for me at least.

Id be interested in seeing all the paperwork you can get/draw up as well so I can present it to my MP

Reece21, let us know how the meeting went. I'm really curious as what your MP will say, recommend. Your MP should be able to inquire through 'freedom of info' without cost to you. I think it was $5 or something, can't remember.
The lab seems like it's it's own planet, it should be interesting to see if a MP can scratch the surface.
 
Meeting is in an hour and a half. 0900 mountain time. I will write up a short synopsis and make my dossier available to others.

Alright, so I just got back. Had an awesome hour and a half talk with John about the RDP fiasco as well as touched on silencers, mag capacities and C-42. John Barlow is definitely on the side of gun owners despite what CGN had raged on about when he first got elected. I have known him for over 15 years and last time I had a problem with the RCMP, he had them backing down within a week so I know he can get results. Thanks to dangertree and TV-PressPass for their information and help getting all the ducks in a row. I presented him with technical information and timelines from dangertree as well as another RPD pre owners information that presspass had gathered of the relevant Firearms Act regulations that apply. I also printed off the relevant Firearms Act regulations with notes on how they apply to the RPD.

John said he would call Blaney and talk to him about it as well as Blaney's staffer he deals with who I know is aware of the RPD situation as well. John said he would call me in a week or two and tell me what has happened and what he has learned.

Good first step in my mind.
