Can Canadians take our handguns to the US for hunting?

That's my take...

The past BATFE requirement of hunting licenses/match invites was actually always in error... They themselves examined their practices and realized it was illegal so... they stopped.

There was/is a lengthy explanation of the whole reasoning somewhere on the BATFE www.
But it boils down to... fill out the form send it in.

Cool. Makes handgun ownership in Canada a hell of a lot more appealing now.

Shot 'em in Colorado last summer...
Went again earlier this week.... Well... tried to go.

We made it to Des Moines Iowa when we got word our hunt had to be cancelled due to severe wweather/flooding.

What a let down

Sure... Like a S&W Airweight, and a G17.

They don't judge... the F6NIA approves "firearms" for import, not "firearms deemed appropriate for any particular activity.

There are guns that can't be brought into the US though.
Any former US lend-lease guns, any Chinese manufactured guns, rifles with barrels under 16"... are a few examples.

I had more grief getting my handguns back into Canada than I ever had getting them into the US, Zim or RSA..........Ah but that was the old days before 9/11 and Mandela's release..........
