And the requirement for a hunting permit is no longer there? So technically there's nothing to stop target shooting either? Rent a cabin out In the middle of nowhere, get a F6NIA, take your guns with you and plink away?
That's my take...
The past BATFE requirement of hunting licenses/match invites was actually always in error... They themselves examined their practices and realized it was illegal so... they stopped.
There was/is a lengthy explanation of the whole reasoning somewhere on the BATFE www.
But it boils down to... fill out the form send it in.

Shot 'em in Colorado last summer...
Went again earlier this week.... Well... tried to go.
We made it to Des Moines Iowa when we got word our hunt had to be cancelled due to severe wweather/flooding.
What a let down

Anyone had experience doing this when it isn't hunting season? Or taking a handgun over that is useless for hunting like a 9mm?
