ok I would like to shoot standard with a single stack 1911 im hearing you can load 10 rounds with major or is it 8t1 and 10 rounds for minor I keep hearing different answers and would it be better to shoot minor if you get 2 extra rounds help please.

that rule applies to classic division. For standard its 10 rounds major or minor. If its a single stack 45 though, you're not going to fit in the ipsc box with a 10 round single stack mag.

you are going to have to clear up exactly what you mean. in standard you cant shoot major with 9mm and you can fit a 1911 with a 10 round mag in .40 or 9mm in the box, however you are going to be the exception shooting a single stack in standard and are probably better off looking at classic division

there is no 8 round limit for standard major

yes I know 9mm wont make major but even double stack is limited to 10 rounds so single will be 10 rounds if I understand this right

You are limited to 10 rounds single or double, since that's the law in this country. If you want to shoot 9mm minor single stacked in a 1911 with 10 rounds go ahead. Any other questions?

I know the rule book but their is nothing in the rule book stating how many rounds for standard that I can see for major or minor thank you im shooting major anyways

Apparently not. Appendix D2: Standard Division... clearly states 'Maximum ammunition capacity - No
...BUT...
You're in Canada - max number of rounds is 10.

Appendix D3 outlines Classic Division (with it's capacity limitations)
