Swedish Royal family elg rifle? The checkering is absolutely flawless!

However, there is none on forend?

Seems to me one of the royals would have wanted that, especially since it has been done so well.

Ted

I love the low scope set-up on the rifle, but would swap out the Carl Gustav target bolt knob for a small steel unit. I have a nice Weaver 2.5x that will go on my HVA 46a in 9.3x57 once I fashion a new bolt handle for 'er.

Without seeing the crest on the stock up close, I can't say that it was fixed up for royalty. Royal folk tend to have their goodies far more embellished. These rifles are a joy to carry in the field. Good score Ted.:)

Not 'interested' as;) my 'pattern' is full, remember:p, however, it is an interesting piece and I would be interested in hearing as many details on it as possible.

I have 2 complete barreled actions and 3 stocks in front of me. All 3 have shnabel forends. One has checkering on the grip only. One has checkering on both forend and grip, one has a small cheek pc and checkering fore and aft.:)

I blame WhyNot? and Boomer for my acquiring these!

Ted has added a pair of Husqvarnas to my collection as well. ;)Now I have three.

That model 4000 is still a great looking rifle!

I've posted this in past, that 4000 light weight, 30-06 was my Dads pride & joy and I inherited it when he passed away. It 'got the call' a few years back for my 1st Mule Deer hunt on draw in Alberta with my Daughter & Son In Law.

And, my Daughter did up the European mount for me.

That emblum is actually a decorative ceramic plaque that I was given.
As for the rest:confused:, :redface :have to admit, I haven't figured out what you're referring to. Sorry.

What is an "elg" rifle? Very nice either way!

Keep those pics coming. Johnn will buy it eventually. :)

With my recent purchases from you and Hoytcanon, when Ted stopped in recently for a visit, I told him, concerning the purchase of any additional firearms, the 'pattern is full'. Time to put serious effort into playing with and utilizing what I have, on the range and in the field. Trust me;).
