Why is it I can only find tactical style detachable magazine kits for the weatherby vanguard hunting rifles? I just want a nice flush fitting 4 or 5 round detachable magazine kit to install on a short action hunting rifle. I could buy a BDM model from weatherby but they don't list the BDM rifle in the caliber I want/need............anyone else run into this problem? or am I just not looking hard enough

Ya I think your choices are limited....the ones offered by weatherby are for long action only, and those things are cheesy anyway. And I take it you've seen the aics style (I think thats what they are) which does come in 4-5 round but they arent exactly flush fitting and they have that big lever style magazine release. I've been trying to find an aftermarket "metal" bottom metal floorplate trigger guard assembly to replace the existing ones on my s2 which are cast with paint starting to flake off. But I think I'm sol too.
I've looked around for the same thing and there is really only the plastic "tacticool" extended magazine (5 or 10 rounds). I personally prefer the factory hinged floorplate setup, only wish it was steel instead of the cheesy cast and painted aluminum.
