I can find common stuff, and even some really oddball sizes, but I can only find these at what I consider extremely high prices on Amazon etc.

anyone know of realistic pricing and availiability on these die sets? Full length sizers please.

RCBS is bad for that even when you go to the shows, good luck. At least I speaking for the 7.5x55, I recommend the lee dies, I know not as nice if I could Id go RCBS too. But hey 50bucks for lee or 150 rcbs. Save the money the lee works just fine, put the hundred bucks into brass. Lastly my one recommendation is take a bore lite and check the inside of the sizing die for tooling mistakes, I have one lee die set that leaves a small dimple in the case neck, all others are great though.

I have been doing some research on the Lee dies for the Swiss rifle, and the data from experienced reloaders is that the Lee dies are off. some measurements are ok, some are even good, but some measurements on several different Lee dies for this caliber are out to lunch. I can't risk it, especially as I am just starting out.

What I read once was there are two different shoulder angles for the cartridge (at least historically) and Lee used the less common one for some reason. I never researched it much to verify.
I've talked to people who use the Lee dies and they work perfectly for 7.5x55mm. I've also talked to others who say cases sized in Lee dies wont even chamber in their rifle. For the $30 or whatever it costs I'd give them a shot.

I wouldn't call 8x57mm even close to oddball. I'd just order the dies from any US retailer if you can't find them locally. When I needed some I managed to find Hornady ones in stock at SFRC but that was just luck. My only complaint about the Lee set I also tried was the excess lube port was positioned kind of low so when converting 30-06 to 8x57mm it would put a gouge in the shoulder. With proper 8x57mm brass it wasn't an issue. For Lee products I order from Titan Reloading but if looking specifically for RCBS or Hornady or another brand I'd probably go to Brownells. I've ordered from them several times and shipping is always quite reasonable.

I know 8x57 isn't oddball. what I mean is that you can find dies for .35 Whelan, .18 Bee, .375, etc etc.

I just went to Brownells and I have found good prices there. :) thanks.

Looks like Brownells has a typo in the Hornady 7.5x55 dies. They call them "Swish" instead of "Swiss". Makes me think of what Nike (the shoe company) would call a bullet.
The Hornady die sets I've used are all quite good so I'd give those a shot at US$41. I have them for 8x57mm and 308 Win and they are great.

Just don't forget about ITAR (Brownells wont but they'll just cancel your order if it violates it). Dies, presses, and other tools are okay but any ammunition components at all (brass, bullets, etc.) are restricted for export from the US.
