So who has other caliber ACR's than 223 that have not posted about them yet?

Who did the conversions and how are they working?

Other than the two of us I only know of one other guy in Canada who has anything other than a 223 conversion, he has a couple 450 Bushmaster and a couple 300BLK kits he built.

I've read through dozens of pages in this thread and I have to say that it really lit my interest in the ACR. Even though I'm a nfairly new shooter, I don't mind having to spend a few grands on a quality firearm. However, after discussing with one or two guy who had serious reliability issues, I'm putting my purchase interest on the ice...

Most of the posts here mention the ACR on its bright side, but what about its flaws? What are they? I heard a story about a guy who had a lot of mechanical failures/faults on his (trigger group, slide stop, his upper was a bit crooked). Spare parts don't seem to be readily available so he spents months waiting with a firearm rendered unusable...

Could anybody chime in about this before I start thinking about building an AR from scratch and forgetting about owiowning an NR ACR?

I have only had a couple of issues with my ACR. I had two consecutive rounds not go off. Pulled the trigger, click, grabbed the charging handle to cycle the action, pulled the trigger, click, dropped the mag, cycled the action. I inspected the two ejected cartridges and there was no primer mark on them.

I put the rounds back into the mag and tried to fire them again. They both went off fine the second time. The rifle also performed flawlessly for the rest of the day(~150 rounds)

I am not sure why they didn't go off, but there was only about 500 rounds through it so far, so it could be part of a break-in process. The rifle fired flawlessly the day before(~200 rounds).

I love the rifle though, it is definitely one of my favourites. I just have to get the barrel conversion done as it is still classified as Restricted.

I own an ACR....

I think that when the guy on the video changed out the barrel on his ACR, his did not exert enough torque on the lockdown mechanism to lock in his barrel correctly. I just don`t think the barrel is in there tight. Just my two cents....

I am very pleased with my ACR`s accuracy. This is what I get with it....

I just took one of these on trade, I am interested to see how it does. It sounds like parts are hard to get though which is disappointing.

EDIT: Answered my own question... Silly me! Here is a pic from the seller so my post isn't pointless...

other than the bolt not locking back on an empty mag with PMAG 20rds gen 3 I never had a problem with mine.
the ergonomics of this thing is just fantastic IMHO, other than being a bit front heavy I have no complaint, I need to make it NR and shhot it more, cause the more I shoot it the more I like it already.
I am thinking of putting a ELCAN OS4x on it these days, the H1 and magnifier isn't quite right.
