ACR Media and Info Thread

Looks like I am joining the ranks of the ACR owners group. Got the last unit from ArmsEast. :d

Couple of questions:

Has anyone seen an Argonauts rail in Canada? they look to be the only game in town, just not this town.

Does the basic stock come in a folding configuration? I would prefer a basic folder over the enhanced folder.

Can a guy order a MOE hand guard? I don't care for rails other than where I need them, I would likely ditch the enhanced hand guard too.

Breakout.
Shot Colin's AR at the range and there was no muzzle rise. None. He was rockin' that AAC.

he has the brakeout or the blackout?
I shot his little thing about a month ago, pretty smooth shooter
I put them in order of weight, pws lighter, brakeout heaviest.
weight is a factor on the acr.

I couldn't help but notice that several different vendors have ACRs on sale. Could this be in anticipation of a NR version being released or are they simply not selling?

Interesting video by the skinny American guy.

The supply is all from the states, I don't think they care less about NR and what it means to us. If I had to guess, perhaps the new and improved version from Remington might replace the current civvy ACR. That would be sweet - they are a pound or so lighter. Would be hella expensive guaranteed though.

Both Arms east and IRG sales were US imports and the sales appear to be over now, hopefully you took advantage while it lasted.

So I've seen a few ACR's in the EE, which is great for those looking, but my question is this:

Do AR triggers work in ACR rifles?

I know giessele makes a "super ACR trigger" for the ACR, but I've also seen other F/S ads with different trigger options on it.

Giessele options such as "SSA giessele trigger" and other variants meant for ARs.

AR triggers work but you must keep the ACR hammer. Mine has the super ACR in it and I've never tried anything else other than different ACR's with the factory trigger so I can't say 100% that the AR triggers work but that's what all the guys on the ACR forums are saying.
The factory trigger isn't terrible and just like AR's they only get better the more times you pull them as they wear in and smooth out.
If you're planning to buy one I would worry more about making it non restricted than doing a trigger right away.

Thanks for the response Cr5, I do prefer single stage triggers as opposed to two stage triggers, that's why I was asking.

When I was reading the ACR forums, I was only able to find a blip about using a plastic safety with the metal parts was a concern, not sure if that is still true or not.

As for your comments/concerns about my planning to get one... Let's just say I don't have to worry about either :)

I was thinking of getting another ALG enhanced single stage trigger for one of my other AR's. If I do I'll see if it will work in the ACR before it goes into the AR. Might not happen for a while though, I'm trying to save a down payment for another house.
I'm really impressed with the ALG trigger, all parts are nickel boron coated and for $77 it's really nice compared to $200+ for one from parent company Geissele. I like my super ACR trigger but for the price of it I probably wouldn't have it if if hadn't come with the rifle when I bought it.

Its ok I guess. For single stage I find the wilson combat triggers to be the absolute best by a very large margin.
