Wow, what a wonderful day! We started with frost on the grass and cool temperatures.

As the morning sun came out it warmed us up to where we didn’t need jackets.
Did you notice the grass was “bone” dry at the end of the day?

As always Tim K kept us on track and on time. Dave K and Richard W on ARO duties kept us inline, and a special thanks to Jeff Z, Craig C and all the others that helped with range setup and tear-down. We can’t forget our score card runner Tyson.

Just a reminder make sure review the CQB dates as some have changed.

41 of us enjoyed what might be the best weather we will have all year. Slightly cool for the first relay and them warm, but not hot the rest of the day. Not a cloud in the sky.

Tim squadded me on target 9 (3 shooters) so I had some time off to take pictures. Just about everyone who was not on relay 1 with me got their picture taken. Quite a range of rifles and webbing gear.

One again I got skunked with my pistol at 25 yards, but I did manage to get all my pistol hits at 15 yards. I shot a 45, so I could see my hits as I shot.

Tyson came back to work as our stats runner. This is a real bonus. Shooting, safetying and scoring is enough work without having to run stats, too. We should buy him a beer.

Scores are getting very high. The "Operator" level scores would have won some matches, three years ago. High scores reflect shooting skills and reliable gear.

Was great to get out. See some old friends and meet some new ones.

Didn't do too bad for running all new kit. For sure some room for improvement.

Good shooting by everyone.

great day, great people and great weather!

Boltgun

+1

The ORA is the best-kept secret in Ontario shooting. I'm looking forward to when we have thousands of members ... or tens of thousands.

Also looking forward to the next match!

What a great community. A super day of shooting. Many things to be grateful for....

Thanks for Emeyer3 for putting all the effort into this event. Thanks to the ARO fellows for volunteering their time and keeping things running smoothly. Big thanks for Themarauder for taking on the RSO job and signing for the range. I cannot forget JRWQoR, thanks for your volunteer work, it's most helpful to community building, Without all this energy, the match ain't gonna happen.

Thanks for running all the score cards, Tyson! You are most valuable to us!

Many big thanks to TimK for building this community and continuing to sustain things. Folks, learn as much as you can from Timk since he has taught me lots and lots. AND he still continues to teach me more and more! :)

I'm super pleased to see many of you again after a few months getting through this winter!

Cheers,
Barney
