x2.. after reading this thread, and being fairly new to the CGN forum, it is great to see like-minded people who share similar passions help each other out and go above and beyond what is expected of them. Kudos to terBC; what comes around will go around! (This would also apply to the guy who misrepresented the product on EE
)
Glad you are getting it all sorted right with the help of other members. That trash disgraces the name of CGN ! Gota watch those trader ratings ! Rather rude not to sell a clean firearm. Its all looking good now, cant believe how dirty that was !

The way I look at it is we all empathize with LeadMonkey over his questionable EE Deal and we could have all provided him with words of encouragement but at the end of the day he would still be with a non functional rifle and needing to spend $100 to buy the replacement part from North Sylvia and he'd still be frustrated rightfully so after paying for a non functional rifle and then needing to spend $100 bucks on top of that, it would be enough to make anyone cringe.

I just happen to have the part that LeadMonkey needs, that doesn't do me a lot of good and is taking up space in my parts bin. LeadMonkey is able to cannibalize it as my part isn't perfect but it just happens to be broken in such a way that it's useful to LeadMonkey and not me. I in good conscious can't charge someone for a broken piece of plastic (must be the way I was raised I had awesome parents) so I foot the bill to have it sent to LeadMonkey and thankfully Canada Post didn't loose it or send it half way across the country and back again and he gets it in less than a week even with holiday mixed in there.
At the end of the day it's a win win for everyone, LeadMonkey now has a functional rifle he's probably still a little annoyed at how the rifle was represented but at least he can go shoot it now and doesn't have to spend any extra cash on it, I clear up some space in my parts bin for an insignificant cost (So I skip buying a case of beer this week, I think that's a fair trade off), we all know who not to buy from on the EE in the future, and it shows that as a community yes there are some deceitful members but the majority of us are well meaning and just want to get out and shoot and share that experience with others.
Plus if others read this post, I hope they would be more likely to help out their fellow CGNer's if they're able to.

Excellent glad it passed the function test. You'll have a lot of fun with it and from what I can tell mine's not too picky on ammo the manual does say High Velocity rounds but I've run standard rounds through without much trouble. Mine really likes the federal automatch bulk in the white boxes. You will go through a lot of it especially with the 22 round magazines. Hopefully it clears up for you this weekend and you can put it through its paces and be happy with your purchase now that you've got it up and running.
Keep in mind because you are shooting a lot of .22 the magazines will start to gum up and they're pretty easy to take take apart and clean you just need a a T10 and a T6 bits to take apart the magazines, but based on your detailed job of field stripping the gun and cleaning up all the gunk left over from the previous owner you already know this.
