JARD J48 rifle

I unfortunately returned my jard j48, on top of the ftf fte and feed problems, the recoil spring was damaging the upper portion of the reciever, so for the interm i will be sporting a 9mm jr.. I reallly really love the jard though, feels great in the hands, fairly lightweight and when it does shoot, its awesome!

I had the same experience , if they get a few issues worked out , I'll definitely get another one.

This is such a great rifle for the Canadian sport shooting market it would make sense to iron out the issues right away. Hopefully they get it sorted out soon so we can hear some positive reviews.

i think jard should have tested this rifle more thoroughly before releasing it to the public , instead of having distributors/ retailers like wantalls having to stop sales like this and deal with warranty issues.

also the design is horrible, blocky and looks frankenstein-ish. there is no excuse for this, it would cost the same to manufacture a rifle with a better design. if we weren't so desperate for non restricted black rifle options in Canada this rifle wouldnt even be noticed. you could argue that you dont care how it looks as long as it functions but if it looked good as well, every canadian sport shooter with an interest in black rifles would own this(provided they iron out the functionality issues).

Hey guys. From what I have seen of this platfrom a ACE style stock would look good on it. With its square back end on the receiver the ACE would mate-up nicely. Unfortunately I am building up a CZ-858 and a VZ-58 in .223. Pluss because of my injury I dont shoot them right now. So the pistol packen momma has last say for now lol. Enjoy your new toys guys and gals.

Just to share my past experience. When I was looking for a pistol caliber carbine I decided to go for a .45 acp JR, now at that time it had many issues but I believed wanstalls was gonna stand behind it and it turned to be one of my best purchases. So I for one gonna wait and see how this plays out.

Hope this gets sorted because I am interested in something I can shoot out back and has some ability to mod it. The other options are not mod friendly (MR1) or not wife friendly on the price side and I feel I have slept in the dog house enough.

Not trying to hijack this thread,Wanstall do you have any word on the semi-auto .17 they are producing, will they made it here ?

Thanks

So the design is new and maybe there's still time for input and improvement. After having used one , I'd like to see a non reciprocating charge handle( sorry lefties but your out numbered):). Maybe move the buffer tube about 3/4 of an inch higher( stock would be more in line with the top rail. Full rails for the handguard. Threaded barrel. And reliability of course. Anything else ? I wonder if there's a specific reason ,why the handguard is proprietary .

Fixed for yah. Try n post an irrelevant topic to a new thread yeah?

Anyways, so is there an ETA on the new batch with all the gremlins ironed out?

Btw the J17 is made by Jard, and i was speaking to wanstall not you.Now go take your pills i think you really need it.
