Well looks like they are starting to show up in stores. Epps just listed a couple. Looking forward to the range reports.
I think i would have sprung for one but missed the great deal on norinco 380 ammo. Maybe in the future

I'm tempted but it's really more of a novelty in my eyes. It's a neat little gun but given the price and the cost of ammo I'm not sure that there aren't other places I'd rather put $800.

With you on that. The problem with novelty guns is that it wears off.

In handguns, i feel getting larger caliber is the way to go, this is pretty small caliber, it may sit well in the safe, but will i bring it to the range, knowing myself, i would just say no... JP.

It's the same frame on the .380. Scale down version of a 1911 (85%) and weight about 1/3 of a traditional 1911. At 17.4oz it's very light and feels toyish IMO, hope that Browning introduce the alloy frame with upgraded sights, they literally suck on the black label models (.22 & .380) witch would be a better package all around. At over $700 a pop, definatly too expensive for what you're getting.

It's a *meh* for me but these might appeal to those that don't have 12(6).

I love my 1911-22, probably my favorite pistol out of all my handguns, I cant wait for my 380, Hopefully extra mags will be available for it and I plan to use it in a 3 gun next month

Not much love for the browning 380. Fair enough. I sort of like everything. I don't have a huge interest in competing at this point and don't have an ATC, so they are all kind of novelty items to me.

same size as my browning 1911-22 desert tan composite. weighs less than a pound! hilarious. It's quite a difference from my full size metal pistols (1911 & cz 75b)
it shoots great though. I looked into this .380, but didn't wait for it. .380 is expensive for what you're getting. My 22lr I can shoot the cheap 22 all day without malfunctioning (Winchester 333)

I was planning on selling it soon though, cause I got a new 1911 and have too many pistols

I had the 1911-22 and it was a fun little gun! I liked GSG better for accuracy (sights sucked on the browning) but in a more powerful caliber like .380 and better sights it would be a lot of fun! will keep an eye out on the EE for one :)

Yeah the sights were horrible at first, but then I painted them and got used to it.
Birchwood casey has some paint pens for front sights. They're amazingly effective. comes in a pack of 3 (white, florescent green and red). Add 2 layers of white, then green or red.
I've added them to any sight I've had problems with and it's a great solution

I just recd my 380 today, its exactly the same dimensionally as my 1911-22 browning, with some noticeable changes, 380 has cheapo plastic grips, not like the nice wood ones on the 22 (I changed them, they fit), better sights on 380 than the 22, extended controls on 380, composite frame on 380, mags fit in either, but slides don't interchange, 22 slide fits on 380 and racks but 380 slide wont fit on 22 frame . Steel slide on 380, alloy on 22, arched mainspring housing on 22, flat on 380, beavertail on 380, none on 22, 380 is snappy to shoot
