are they any good? seems to be the cheapest SPP around since Dominion SPPs are not available right now.

This is an interesting article and was worth reading as I had been wondering how much difference primers made.

Thanks. I was asking their small pistol primer though due to some old Internet posts.

LR Primer Types Tested for Velocity, ES/SD, Group Size and More!

"Some of Laurie’s results may surprise you. For example, would you guess that Sellier & Bellot primers had the lowest ES, by a significant margin"

Some of the guys who shoot with me in action world are having a hard time with their new SW 929's and I had some trouble with my CZ and Glock which where both tuned. I also had trouble though with the dominion primers in my pistols so I am paranoid now and stick to federal.

If the hammer spring has been lightened, you can get fail to fire. In that case, Federal is the way to go. Their priming compound is more sensitive.

I use S&B primers. They work well in every pistol except one. It needs federal.

Where are you getting the best deal on them? SFRC?

I've bought tuned revolvers that won't even fire in SA with the russian ones. On one I had to give the strain screw 2 full turns, and it will still light strike on some in DA.

But for the price? Guess I'm learning better trigger control while I save money!

Thanks guys for the details. so I guess I am ok then because all my guns are factory which is how I intend to have on all my guns that I have and will buy. order some for now until Dominion becomes available again.

the S&B SPP? x-reloader. not dirty cheap, but better than nothing and cheaper than CCI etc.

Thanks. I'm good for a little while, but if the supply steamer gets frozen in Vladivostok harbour before the next shipment leaves I'll be looking at options.

Never say never till you actually tried it. The lighten spring on my 686 shoots a lot easier/smoother on DA. 100% with FED primers, 10% FTF with CCI.

Preference is for FED for DA revolver. CCI/SB/harder primers for pistols.
