Was at a local Canadian Tire to day and they had RWS R100 on the shelf . this is a high end ammo for serious target work at 25.99 per 50 I assume .was tempted but just couldn't justifie the price .I did leave with 100 rounds of Aquila standard velocity and a 100 of the high velocity . is the RWS really that good or just extremely over priced ? any one have experience with it in their CZ 452 rifle ?

Yes they are too much I have a line on some less expensive rws and will let you know if and when they come in!
The SK Standard that they have is very accurate!

The R100 is their top of the line from my understanding. More than you will need unless you are a serious competitor. Their Sport Line ammo, target rifle and club is very accurate ammo as it is, and my local CT had it for $8 or $9 per 50. It's too bad they were limiting customers to 4 boxes for any 22lr. I made a few trips while they had it on the shelf, so hopefully this will hold me over until they have more brought in.

In the RWS line R50 is the premium grade. You folks in the east are close enough to North Sylva(Targetshootingproducts) that you should be able to get RWS from them at the best price.

I was told the R100 is Biathlete ammo for colder weather and the velocity is a little higher at around 1200 fps.
At TSP the R50 is $165 / brick and the R100 is $172.50 per brick.

Just looked at the Targetshootingproducts site mocked up an order it gives you a purchase total but does not include any shipping charges .anyone have an idea what shipping would be on a couple of bricks from Ont to NS .

Just give Peter Krause a call, very good to deal with. I have the 5000 round cases delivered to the valley (Berwick) for $46.00 and 2-4 bricks @ $24.95 normally. I haven't ordered in the last 8 months as I got 2 cases of Lapua Std. + and a case of CCI Std. V.

Hope this helps.

What carrier do they use for shipping .

I bought some RWS Match Rifle for $10 a box to use in my new CZ 455 Varmint.

It shot really well, and the price seemed resonably considering what bulk crap 22lr is going for these days.

I have quite a bit of RWS R50 in my stash, and it shoots very well in several high end rimfires.

Also have close to a case of RWS Rifle Match, which is surprisingly close, considering the lower price.

But, when I am at a serious match, the ELEY Match EPS comes along.

Cheers, Dave.

I bought RWS Rifle match just because I had never seen it before and was $8:95 a box. I paid that much for Stingers so wasn't hurt to bad for the price.

FYI got a prompt email back from Peter at target shooting products this morning .shipping to Nova Scotia for up to 4 bricks would be $ 32.00 . I think that is very reasonable .
