Hey guys,
Went out today and picked this package up for Fathers Day....

From a CGN seller and I want to post positive feedback for him. Not sure how to do that...?

On an unrelated note, chicken coop command reports that the 10/22 is functioning.

All the best,
VanIsleCam

Yeah, it's that time of year alright, when the little one's start following mom around.

I'd be very curious to know, just how many of the raccoons we get, are 'trap n released' drop-offs from the city. I wish those limp-wristed buggers would just put in their own work, instead of bringing their problems out to my backyard.

+1 I hear you brother, i'd kill them myself but the limp wrists here in oakville would be in uproar. In the last 3 years i have trapped 6 raccoons and 1 possum in my backyard. they are pretty bad here in the suburbs but alas i can't choot'em :) That and animal control wants 200$ thats right 200$ to come and set a trap. I bought one from home depot instead but i have to drive them 10-15 mins away up into the country to i applaud you efforts my friend. Just know urban gunny's would choot'em if we could brotha :)

I wish I could drop a few of these stinkin' coyotes where I live. (Vancouver). I don't dare let my cat out for fear that she will end up as a late night snack.

I was eyeing up that same deal as it was close to home. Thanks for grabbing it as I didn't need the temptation!
On a related note I think the wife and kids should get PALs so they buy me relevant gifts for holidays.

Great looking laminate stock, I've got a similar looking Tula.

Jealous you can shoot critters that harass your chickens, I've been at war with the rats in our coop for awhile now. Finally making headway thanks to a BB gun and the neighbours dog. He took out the smart momma rat that's been evading traps and bb's lol.

U people live in the wilderness and wonder when all the wild animals come to your door. Killing cougars, golfers and racoons is something to brag about on the internet. WOW

I can address the first sentence of your post, but I'm not sure where you were going with the rest:

First of all, "U people?" das raciss!

It's not the wild animals that are the problem, it is the urban disease-bags with no fear of humans (.: no respect for them) that keep getting shipped out here by the trainload.

You can easily tell the difference between "country coons" and "city coons." First kind's alright. They have learned to fear people, and that fear is what keeps them safe, and my garbage cans upright and chickens alive. Second kind's been born and raised in a totally different environment, and the problems they cause in the city; get put in a cage and transported to my doorstep.

What's worse: The country people who talk about it, or the city people who choose to remain ignorant about it?

Maybe you should look up the word racist or "raciss" than speak and accuse others of being one. There is nothing right in posting pictures on the internet bragging about your latest "pest" kill. If you chose to live on a acreage or outside city limits learn to live with whats around you not killing anything that comes your way just because you like to or think you have the right to do so. Bet you he just shot the "coons" and just left them there to rot.

Look lady, everyone is welcome to their opinion here, even you. I would just ask, if you were looking to spew further righteous condemnation...please support it.

Please tell me: Why, is there "nothing right" about posting pictures on the internet about animals that were killed? Point out exactly, what you consider to be "bragging?"

This is a teachable moment right here. Let's understand each other better. Help me help you :)

Cyprus - you need to calm down. We have farm status and with putting on a buffet for the local predators means they will come. I'm not bragging about shooting raccoons in any way. I am happy about sparing our poultry from those oh so cute raccoons.
Enjoy your store bought eggs,
VanIsleCam

Sorry forgot - I don't leave them to rot. I took the heads off and have them semi buried to let the beetles take the flesh off. My daughter wanted them. I have an adult coon skin in the freezer and need another full size one to make a hat.
Enjoy reading about things,

Well than please accept my apologies. Sorry for jumping to conclusions.

You clearly don't have a garden or livestock of any sort do you? The moment wildlife starts harassing my chickens or eating the food I grow and preserve for the year they will be dealt with accordingly, simple as that.

I live in the city by the way, if I lived in the "wilderness" I'd be shooting instead of trapping or the occasional bb gun dispatch. Wife & I raise chickens for eggs and meat so I won't tolerate our hard work getting eaten by one of the local predators, which are coyotes, raccoons, skunks, rats and the odd hawk and eagle.

No bag limit in bc on raccoons. The raptors are helpful and safe. The best is catching a baldie trying to nail a chicken. Super clumsy hunters. The hawks though - they know what to do.
