I missed too many opportunities to buy a new S&W 625, but I'm not letting this one go.

That's a new model? sweet! I'll be in for one too.

There's just something about 45 cal revolvers.

Hopefully the dealer thinks to bring in clips as well.

I've never had a Redhawk, but it they are anything like my plain jane GP100 it will be very nice.

The gun comes with four moon clips I believe. Now the question is when will they cross the 49th. I want one!.

Cool if it was a smith I personally dislike how bulky ruger revolvers look

While searching for something else I noticed that North Sylva was responsible for getting a special run of Smiths made with 4.25" bbls

Might be an idea to swamp them with requests for a 4.25" 625 and see if we can get it done.

Here are the comparative specs for the Red Hawk and 625

Ruger S&W
Barrel 4.2” 4.0”
Wgt. 44.0oz 42.0oz
Twist 1:16RH 1:16RH
$$ $1029.00US $1079.00US

My GP-100 is actually lighter than my 686 with the same barrel lengths. This Ruger likely will have a better trigger out of the box than the Smith. Too, it shoots both the 45 Colt and 45acp.

I don't want to pee on your parade but if that Redhawk has a better trigger out of the box it will probably be the first and only one that is ever made.

On another note Ruger makes a very good gun just the same.

My gp100 has a better stock DA trigger than any Smith that hasn't been tweaked and lightened

SA is the opposite, with the exception of some of the new Smiths that aren't anything special.
