I really want one of these, but not for $3000

I think if they were $1500-$2000 I would own one but I've handled a couple and to me they aren't worth $3000.

just because guys cannot afford these does not mean they are not worth the money. In a life and death situation its one rifle that would be well worth betting on. These rifles can handle a lot more hard use than folks realize. just because they are not pretty does not disqualify them from being excellent rifles, that absolutely perform as designed. In my opinion, with the dollar down, and with other makes pumping out junk as fast as possible, these rifles are a good buy, excellent buy in fact.

It has nothing to do with if I can afford it or not. I have over $35000 worth of firearms in my gun room right now, I just won't pay $3000 for a $2000 rifle with a $1000 NR tax added in. I used to own a Swiss Arms Classic green target model and it was beautifully built and I paid around $3000 for it used. It was light years ahead of these rifles in fit and finish. I sold it because I didn't like the fact that shooting it from the bipod and shooting it supported just in front of the magwell produced a 5moa change in POI. To me that was unacceptable.
Plus the cost of extra magazines on these is absolutely absurd.

To each their own though, if you're happy with yours then good for you, enjoy your rifle.

That POI shift gets worse and worse as the years pass and you re-tell the story cr5 ;) :p. Hehehe, just had to bust balls, sorry for the temp derail.
