Tavor Vs ACR. Which one would you keep?

I would keep neither one nor the other absolutely, the only irreplaceable, it's the sig 550.

Anyways guys, the accuracy debate. Us canadians we are absolutely obsessed with sub moa semis.
The military requirements for a rack grade AR are? ... 4 moa
Truer words were never spoken.

All the guys that sit at a bench with their black rifle on a sandbag.....wrong tool for the job. These rifles were made for positional shooting. Shooting a fig 11 or IPSC torso out to 400 yards offhand (yes standing) is where its at with this class of rifle, and 2-3 moa is sufficient to do this.

Flame suit on, bring on the hate:p

Couldn't agree more! I shoot my AR 15 and Tavor from field positions - ONLY! It just doesn't compute shooting these rifles from the bench.

Recently I was zeroing my Tavor's iron sights from prone after doing the same with the red dot the day before. Some good ol' boys shooting their scoped rifles from the bench challenged me to go for the 30" 400m gong after watching me ringing the 24" 200m gong repeatedly. I told them I only had three rounds left and they said - "Go for it! We'll spot for you - (chuckle, chuckle)."

I fired and missed, but they told me where the rd went. The next two rds were hits! I was as surprised as they were. No big deal, you say? Go for it~

I own neither lol .... but given the choice, NON restricted ACR hands down. I find the Tavor very uncomfy. And besides, its just a matter of time before it goes restricted/prohib. "Scary military issue bullpup"

And you have this on what authority? IF the Tavor goes 'prohib', it won't be the only Black Rifle to do so.

As for the Tavor being "uncomfy", it's a matter of adaptation and training. The IDF girls don't see to have a problem with it. I tell people that I have to "hug" the Tavor in order to shoot it well. I'm now at the point where the ergos of my AR 15 feel strange .....

Haha priceless, I have gotten similar looks at the range. A friend of mine brought his AR with Eotech along a few weeks ago, we went to the range I got down prone on the floor and started ringing the 300m gong like a church bell with it. He then joked that we should try that standing (I practice often and proceeded to do just that). I got him to try it and he was very happy when he started hitting steel standing. Most guys just never think to try it, all it takes is some practice.

a good marksman should be able to hit a human torso standing @ 200m with an ar 15. Ive seen 600 m from my dad, and 300 from my mom, my granpa used to win competitions in the old days with a german mouser at 700 m.

It's rare to see anyone shooting prone these days on any range other than military. I learned to shoot prone on my highschool rifle team with Win 52 rifles. That carried on with .22 Lee-Enfields in cadets. During my 12 years packing the FN C1, again, most of our shooting was done from prone. Given a choice, I will shoot in the military x-legged position or prone.

Time and again I see guys with expensive rifles going on expensive hunts checking their '0' from the bench without firing a shot from any field position. Works for them .....
